That Loving Feeling

Not sure where to start because it's been one of those special couple of days and another special day and another special days.

I did my first ice skating lesson last Wednesday and it was so fantastic. Nervous but great feeling. If the kids are doing it I must join them.  Most of the ladies have only been in the country for a few months so they are in the same boat. Watch this space I will be the next ice skating,  figure lady,  kind of person, if you know what I mean. We were doing the backwards move, stopping (not quite). A HUGE LAUGH.

Fridays are always good to wind down and just chill. I can never stay up past 9.00pm. Leon and I seem to be passing each other as he is studying so much. The last few days but really hard. Friday is the last exam. I take my hat off to him for his hard work. I want to party and spend time with Leon so pretty much excited for next weekend. It's going to be a full one.

I had to giggle, my sister Kate and I were in fits of laughter because she was laughing at my arms. Share pictures. I have not noticed but according to Kate the biceps are getting quite large. So I am now competing with my brother in law for the biggest arm muscles. I recon I could lift my shopping trolley above my head and move around the shop freely. The swimming has been a bit boring lately because all the nice people are busy and not swimming. Who wants to do exercise when you never smile and the people around you are so boring and also never smile. Hopefully the fun people return soon. Need to get the arms pumping. Wish the rest of the body will follow.

Saturday I had to baby sit for my friend Carol who used to live in St albans. I felt like a mother hen telling them to behave and party at the same time. Susie I never fell asleep on their couch. Not my favorite past time but one has to do these things. Can't wait to go out on Saturday and Carol will baby sit for us.

Sunday I hit New York on my own. I was quite nervous. I normally follow Leon and he takes total control. This time I had to do everything on my own. It still bolds me over that I am a  simple African / BELGIAN / ENGLISH  / FRENCH girl exploring New York city. I never imagined in a million years I would be wandering around NYC. It felt fantastic. Leon of course gave me all the directions and street names. I caught cabs as the trains would have tipped me over the edge. I met my fantastic friend Sam. She gave me the biggest hug ever and I was holding the tears back to be with old friends again. Friends are amazing. Sam bought the whole of England with her for me. More fantastic cards and presents from fantastic friends. Boy the love was flowing. To put into words what I was feeling seeing great friends and receiving goodies from other great friends was so special.

Monday was wine and smores with Tracy. Tracy is educating me in America. She is fantastic. We laugh and Kate we sort out the world. Smores or like I was calling them Smorgs, what a chop are biscuits, dark chocolate and marshmallows all melted together. The kids were covered in chocolate. Anyone wanting to try America it's a good thing.

Thanks to all the special people in my life.
I still can't believe how lucky I am to have such fantastic people in my life.

Me on the ice with the kiddies. After the kids lesson they have 15 minutes free skate and parents can join. Wonder where Leon was?????? Still a bit wobbly on the ice. Watch the space

Forgot to mention Leon got a new car. Jeep wrangler. Our fun car.
