Christmas is over and the presents are all packed away and tree waiting to be chopped up. No we decided because we have hired skies for the season we should get out there and take advantage. Well we are skiing on man made snow, hence the lots of green bits showing. For us the snow conditions are perfect as we have nothing to compare to and our abilities as skiers are pretty novice.
We loaded are little Ford and headed out to Butternut ski resort in Massachusetts. The kids and Leon took to the slopes like a duck does to water. I was shitting myself and well this made me fall. I spend most of the day on my A. I was furious and all I could think of three more days of this horrible sport. I saw a few disabled skiers and that bought some perspective to my basic skiing.
I managed to get on the ski lift and come down the bunny slope at a snails pace. Snow plough, snow plough. My language in my head was worse than sailors with a bottle of rum under his belt.

The kids were booked into an hour and half lesson. They whizz down the slopes like a bat out of hell. We are wanting them to learn some skill so they can go on bigger more challenging slopes. Not too much listening going on.

I have just gotten off the ski lift. Thank bloody goodness I never fell this time. I have been like a splotch of paint splattered all over the ice on numerous occasions. Thanks Leon for catching me looking pretty awesome. |

We had to use the roof box to carry all the skies. The bags were packed with warm clothes. |

Family fun. Just stopped for a quick lunch |

Leon is so determined and focused to get to another level and perfect the skiing. He is doing so well |
