Summer time

I know I mention the weather on a continuous basis but I am in heaven with the warm bright sunny days. We all live in the pool or the sea. More the pool as I am not such a sand lady.

Jean, my lovely very old next door neighbour came home last week from the hospital. Purely selfish reasons it's great to have her back home because ever time I go and chat to her it's like looking into my grans eyes. Her calm and caring nature is so wonderful. Her smile lights up when she talks to the kids. Jean now has carers looking after her round the clock but she is still able to walk around very slowly. Her middle son and daughter in law came and talked to us over the weekend.

We had a few friends over to celebrate our "we made it in America" 26 August we have been in America for a whole year. We are all healthy, semi sane and in one piece.

The funny thing is no Americans. South African, Irish and English

We have never had enough champagne glasses.

All the kiddies playing air hockey

Victoria in her element with all her roller skate kit on.

The field we scooter or roller skate on. next purchase is a pair of roller skates. I use my scooter.
Perry and Anna joining us in the fun.

Perry is a crazy compulsive exercise freak. I have told her I bring moderation to the friendship. I have started doing a small amount of jogging. I still hate it and find it so hard but running near the sea is really beautiful. I can now run for 5 minutes without stopping. Along way to go but Rome was not built in a day.

Throughout the summer the Levitt Pavilion holds free concerts. Pack your wine, beer, picnic blanket and head over to the pavilion. They have jazz, ballet, kids shows, Irish dancing.

Victoria stood for 45 minutes to get her face painted. Not once did she moan, she held her place in the queue or line as the Americans say. Such a good sport. She was kind but no one stepped in front of her and she did it with such grace. A truly great young lady.
Mommy I am so happy and so proud of my face paint. What does it look like??? A very happy young lady.

Kara has a really good sense of humor. Also been the eldest she torments Victoria big time. I know I did it to Kate and Leon did it to Andre. If Kara is not calling Victoria a "nugget" it's a "coil". Kara has now drawn a coil box outside our front door and who ever steps inside the box is a coil.  Leon and the kids just love trying
to coax each other into the "coil box".

This is a bad picture but Kara is running away from the coil box.

 Kara is a "coil"
Our family bike ride down to the river and an ice-cream
 Happy chappy
 Love you girls so much.
After the swim its
showers all round.
This is for you GP. We went to Sono Baking Company. So sorry we never took you there. Sorry, only found out about it recently. Gp you would have been given an apron, made friends with the bakers and got them to give you a free bread making lesson. You would have loved been here. I of course would have left and you would not have know the better. You were thought of. The kids were laughing when i told them GP would be happy here.
Jude this picture is for you. Victoria the Benjamin and Kara, Samuel.

Love to all
