Walk and playdate

Tuesday night I had arranged with leon to come home early so I could go and watch the film Race to Nowhere. The hot topic around town at the moment. Well the traffic was terrible and Leon was late. I had organised to go with a friend and when I arrived to collect her she told me it was too late to go. Well I was pissed off like you can't believe. So what if we miss some of the movie, we are out and could stop and have a drink afterwards. What is wrong with these woman in this place. Everyone is playing happy mommies at home.

Check out the website. The film was an eye opener and so sad. The pressure been put on the kids is unbelievable. They have no free time to play, everything is organised and scheduled. They can't think out the box. The kids need to get the best results in school. We can never ever get a childhood back. We can practice been fantastic adults forever. Its so easy to get caught up in the whole I want to do the best for my children. One question the movie asked was how do we define sucess for our kids?????? I have been thinking about this a lot. Is sucess lots of money, big house???? I am thinking at the moment. Lots whirling around in the old nutshell.

The air was crisp and so cold but the sky clear blue and the sun bright. I hit the beach with my friend from St Albans. We had a nice long walk. Good to be out in the fresh air.

The kids had friends around and I took them to the natural playground. Good fun.
